The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care ensures the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after medical procedures. Our team delivers advanced anesthesia techniques and life-support care tailored to each patient's needs. The primary goal of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit at AVIS Medica is to deliver hospital services that, within the hospital’s capacity, support patient recovery, improve or stabilize health conditions, and help prevent disability and premature death. This mission is achieved through the execution of essential diagnostic and therapeutic functions, including interconnected processes that contribute to the hospital’s overall care approach.
Critical interventions and monitoring are provided around the clock to support vital functions and recovery.

Key Functions of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit (ICU):

Providing all types of anesthesia and anesthetic techniques (general and loco-regional) for patients undergoing surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
Ensuring safe and effective anesthesia for patients in surgical units including surgery, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology. Delivering sedation, pain management, and invasive techniques for diagnostic procedures in departments such as imaging (CT), EEG, and EMG.
Performing full-scale cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Administering intensive care to patients with compromised vital functions (respiration, circulation).
