In mid-June, a course was held at Avis-Medica Hospital; Pleven, organized by the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care on the topic: Regional Anesthetic Techniques and Ropivacaine. Anesthesiologists from Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo and Gabrovo were present. The main lecturer and moderator was Dr. Dorina Metodieva, Head of the Regional Anesthetics Department at Avis-Medica Hospital.
Demonstrations were made of peripheral nerve blocks under ultrasound control, one of the most modern techniques for performing anesthesia and ensuring quality postoperative pain relief.
With the increasing trend of increasing accompanying chronic pathology and allergic manifestations, this is an opportunity for a gentle and painless perioperative period, a minimal amount of medication is used, as they are injected specifically around the relevant nerve under direct visual control. This ensures stable vital signs, the possibility of contact with the patient during the operation and
minimizes unwanted side effects. The idea is to make such courses a tradition.
B.BRAUN provided samples of the new needles for nerve blockades STIMUPLEX ULTRA 360, which allow detailed visualization during passage through the tissues and reaching the target nerve. The effect of the local anesthetic Ropivacaine in various surgical interventions was shown. A portable ultrasound device BENQ T3300, presented at the IX National Conference for the Study and Treatment of Pain in June in the city of Hisarya, was provided by GLOBALMED S EOOD.
