Obstetrics and Gynecology
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at AVIS Medica Hospital is made up of three units: Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Neonatology. Each department functions around the clock, delivering uninterrupted care with strict confidentiality and individualized treatment for every patient. All medical services are carried out in alignment with best clinical practices and follow globally recognized healthcare standards.
In the Obstetrics Department, care is provided for both normal and high-risk pregnancies. The hospital offers modern methods for fetal monitoring and emergency delivery when needed. Deliveries are performed naturally or via C-section, with a range of pain relief options available. A neonatologist and anesthesiologist are always present at births.
The option to collect stem cells during childbirth is also available.
The Neonatology Department provides care tailored to each newborn's condition. New mothers receive practical advice and training on caring for their babies after discharge.
The Gynecology Department offers both conservative and surgical treatment for gynecological conditions. In addition to traditional procedures, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries are also performed using modern, advanced equipment.
The close collaboration between outpatient and inpatient services at AVIS Medica enables precise coordination and rapid response to individual cases. Prenatal care begins early in pregnancy. At the Women’s Consultation Office of the Diagnostics and Medical Clinic Center AVIS Medica, patients are registered and closely monitored. Fetal development is tracked, and the mother’s health is regularly assessed. The latest 3D/4D ultrasound technology enables early diagnosis of congenital anomalies. Genetic consultations and testing are also available.

She graduated from Medicine at MU-Pleven in 2023. Since October 2023, she has been enrolled as a regular resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the AVIS Medica Hospital.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Union (BLS), the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (BDAG) and the Bulgarian Association of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (BAUAG).
With a professional focus on: ultrasound and Doppler diagnostics in Obstetrics, monitoring of high-risk and normal pregnancies, childbirth - vaginally and by Caesarean section.
I believe that an individual approach to patients is the key to a successful pregnancy.
Dr. Gabriele Yakimova

She graduated from Medicine at MU-Pleven in 2023. Since October 2023, she has been enrolled as a full-time resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Avis Medica Hospital.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association (BLS) and the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (BDAG).
Main interests – infertility, natural childbirth and gynecological endocrinology.
Dr. Gabriela Peneva

Medical University in Pleven: – Bachelor's degree in "Midwifery" in 2015. – Master's degree in "Medicine" in 2021.
From the same year, she became a member of the Bulgarian Medical Union (BLS) and the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (BDAG).
– In 2022, she became part of the team of the Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Avis Medica Hospital, where she is also a regular resident.
Her professional interests are related to monitoring normal and pathological pregnancy.
Management of natural and operative childbirth.
Ultrasound diagnostics and fetal morphology. Diagnostics and treatment of gynecological diseases.
